Warming up to Spring

Jeans: The Limited - here, Shoe: Michael Kors - here, Shirt: The Loft, Jewelry: Saks, Forever 21
The weather last week was so beautiful I couldn't even believe it. One day it went up to 84! I felt very much like Spring in this ensemble of bright pink pants and accessories. Since the pants were so bright I went with a neutral shoe and shirt.

Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips - Turn One Application into Two

I stopped wearing artificial nails years ago because of the damage to my real nails. It's a bit of a hassle because nail polish chips and looks terrible pretty fast. I don't like the gel nails that are so popular now because they damage my nails the same way the artificial nails did.

I do love nail art, and my current obsession are the Sally Hansen Salon Effects nail polish strips. They are not only super cute, they last forever. I wore mine for over a week with no problems. I think the key is following the directions precisely. Especially cleaning your nails with nail polish remover and buffing them before applying the strips.

The kit comes with everything you need, an orange stick, nail file and 16 nail strips (8 in each pack as shown above).

The kit is only designed for one use but since they give you 16 strips I use two of the strips twice to make it last for two applications. They give you 16 because our nails are all different sizes but I just force the strips to fit my nails somehow even if its not perfect :-)

You can just flip the end around and use it on another nail OR you can paint one finger on each hand a solid color.

As you can see in the picture there's a little space left on the side but it isn't noticeable once you're done.

**Once you open the pack the nail strips dry out. So if you want to stretch it to two applications only open one pack at a time

Floral Thoughts

My first outfit post! I really love fashion and couldn't help adding some daily style type posts. I took the photos myself using a tripod and it ended up being really fun. Would be a lot easier with someone to photograph me though.
Mixing two trends today, floral and prints with prints. Although two totally different prints, I felt the floral theme was enough to make the items "go." I'm quite satisfied with the result.

I found this purse at Forever 21, it caught my eye immediately and I think it's going to be a great spring/summer bag.

Mary Katrantzou

Mary Katrantzou only launched her label in 2008 but she has quickly become the Queen of prints, she originally caught my eye with her lampshade skirts in the Spring 2011 show:

She was born in Athens and is a graduate of Central St Martins, she uses illusory digital print and gets her inspiration from the art of trompe l'oiel. Here are some of my favorite items.

And here are two of my favorites from her fabulous Fall 2012 show

At The Moment...

Essie nail polish in "Navigate Her"

This cute notepad for the fashion obsessed. Since I used to write out all of my outfits I feel this was made for me. It's from Knock Knock.

The cutest little matchbook nail files that have an image of the eiffel tower printed on them, now I'm not going to want to use them! I picked this one up at Pier 1.

Pierre Hardy

My weakness for shoes probably stems from the fact that my weight fluctuates but my feet remain the same. Whatever the case may be, I have been loving Pierre Hardy lately. These need to find their way into my closet...
