The Fresh Diet - Day 20

Country Ham & Cheddar Cheese Omelet with Roasted Tri-Color Bell Pepper. Once again I'm proved wrong in thinking I won't like a dish. I don't usually like peppers but I figured the ham and cheese would save it. Well I loved the entire thing. I don't know how it's 400 + calories because I could've eaten two more of these with no problem. 



Bite Size Turkey Taco with Sour Cream, Cheddar Cheese and Fresh Salsa on a Mini Corn Tortilla. Didn't taste like a diet taco to me, my only complaint is I need this as a meal, lol. I put a little taco sauce on it and you couldn't tell me I wasn't at Taco Bell. 

Jamaican Style Chicken Wrap with Baby Lettuce and Red Onion. The chicken was just a little spicy which I like, I added a little mustard and it was perfect. 



Fillet of Tilapia with Provencal Sauce with Parsnip & Pear Puree and Sauteed Kale. Another good seafood dish. I shared this with my mom because I had some of her sub for lunch while at the mall. I should've taken my sandwich with me but oh well can't be perfect. She really liked the dish just like I did. 

Pear Walnut Muffin. Yum yum yum.

The Fresh Diet - Day 19

Cinnamon Blueberry Old Fashioned Oatmeal, this was good and filling, I'm loving the portion sizes of the oatmeals. And the fresh blueberries were great as well. 


Mini Whole Wheat Sweet & Sour Sloppy Joe. Very good once again. This time I got one piece of bread instead of two so I guess they change it up from time to time. 

Fresh Herb Grilled Chicken Pita with Pistachio, Cranberries and Tarragon Yogurt Sauce. This was a really good chicken salad, the cranberries and pistachio added wonderful flavored to the dish. And I always add miracle whip to mines because I just love the taste. 

Chicken Cordon Blue with Ham & Swiss Cheese with Wild Rice with Fennel, Citrus and Dried Plums and Crispy Baked Okra with Lemon Zest and Parmesan Cheese. Such a great dinner. I prefer more filling in my chicken cordon blue but again this is a diet. The pic is before I microwaved it so it doesn't do the okra justice. Once it's microwaved the cheese melts and its the most delicious side ever. I didn't even need ketchup which is saying a lot for the sauce girl. 

Mango Cheesecake. This cheesecake tasted a little grainy, I don't know if it was bits of mango or what but it didn't have the same smooth consistency like the other ones that I love. I would try it again just to see if it was a fluke.

The Fresh Diet - Day 18

Fresh Fruit Salad with Mango, Red Grapes, Pineapple, Honeydew, Apple, Cashews & Cinnamon Apple Yogurt. Really filling! There's a lot of fruit in this container, and along with the nuts and yogurt (which was so good and had soft apple chunks in it) it felt like a substantial meal. I actually ate it in two parts. I still like hot breakfasts better but having this once in a while is a nice change. 



Chicken Apple Sausage with Yellow Pepper & Oregano Pesto. I like the amount of sausage I received and the pesto had the consistency of polenta which was great for me! It actually satisfied me and kept me from buying a bunch a junk at Costco, lol. 

Spicy Grilled Lamb Burger Stuffed with Goat Cheese and Fresh Herbs in a Pita. I cut up the burger to fit better into the pita. I didn't eat the onion and tomato because I don't like them but I know I should! This was a good meal, the Burger stayed moist after microwaving which surprised me. Of course the sauce was a great addition. 

Apple Soy Glazed Pork Tenderloinwith Spanish Style Brown Rice and Wild Mushroom Ragout with Cognac Demi Glace. This meal really really filled me up, it took about 40 minutes to eat which helped I'm sure. I wish it came with a sauce only because I love their sauces but this was still a great meal. 

Gingersnap Pumpkin Cheesecake. Yummy cheescake!

The Fresh Diet - Day 17

Corn & Tomato Egg Bake with Monterey Cheese, Cantaloupe, Chicken Apple Sausage & Wheat Toast. Nice large breakfast, I added strawberry jelly and butter to my toast and gave the cantaloupe to my mom. I also picked out the tomato (told you I'm picky). I enjoyed this breakfast and would order again.

The Fresh Diet - Day 16

Apple Chai Pancakes and Turkey Bacon. Love the new potion size, 3 pancakes and 3 slices of bacon instead of 2 each. This was delicious yet again. 



Pistachio Crusted Chocolate Dipped Figs. These were pretty good, the figs were dried and the chocolate was dark which I'm not a fan of. But it was a nice treat. 

Grilled Fish Taco with Brocco-Slaw, Pepperjack Cheese and Creamy Jalapeno Cilantro Sauce. This made me think of California so I had to try it. The sauce was nice and went well with the fish. I'd order again. 

Pork Cutlet with Apple Chutneywith Creamy Polenta with Gorgonzola, Caramelized Onions and Balsamic Reduction and Steamed Broccoli. My favorite part of this was the polenta, I love polenta. The chutney was good and went great with the pork. Great meal!

Creamy Banana Cheesecake. This was another great cheesecake! I love when they come in their own pan, I feel like I'm eating an entire cheescake.

The Fresh Diet - Day 15

TFD day 15 - First day of increased calories. Now I'm at 1600-1800 calories and I felt the difference. Week 3 has begun and I am not tired of this plan at all. I still look forward to my meals each day and although I had a weight gain I believe I will still reach my goals with this plan. 

Creamy Wheat Berry Oatmeal with Golden Raisins and Toasted Almonds. This was my first oatmeal choice so I can't compare the size to the lower calorie version. But this was huge. I ate half when I first woke up at 5:30a and the second half at a normal hour of 8a. I go to bed so hungry that I wake up super early with my stomach growling! Moving on, this was good and filling. There was way too much nutmeg in it but I still liked it and the wheat berries gave it a nice crunch which surprised me. There was a good amount of almonds too so I would try this again. 


Mini Sweet Potato & Turkey Shepherds Pie. The sweet potatoes also had too much nutmeg, was it nutmeg day or something, lol. I added ketchup which I know I shouldn't have but I had to mask that nutmeg somehow. This was a larger portion then I expected but I think I'll pass on this in the future. It wasn't bad but there are just more options I like more.


Thai Chicken Salad with Peanut Dressing. Surprise surprise I didn't like this salad. What is it with me and salads? I took this to the mall with me so that I wouldn't cheat and then forgot to take a pic. But yay for me for passing up all the mall junk! The salad had lettuce, red peppers, pineapples, peanuts, carrots, and plain chicken. The peanut dressing tasted watered down and there wasn't enough it. I also didn't like the toppings, it's not what I had in mind for a Thai salad so I would not order it again. 
Chicken Collette with Aged Cheddar Cheese and Fresh Tarragonwith Whole Wheat Potato Gnocchi with Sun Dried Tomatoes, Brown Butter, Sage and Lemon and Hearty Winter Cauliflower and Broccoli Stir Fry. This meal was ok. I don't know what it is about the chicken but it just wasn't as good as I expected. I didn't taste the cheddar cheese at all so I think maybe it's the nonfat kind. And the gnocchi was dry and hard, totally different then the last time I had gnocchi on the plan. Maybe that one wasn't whole wheat?  I'll have to check. The stir fry was good I'd order it again. I may even order this entire meal again, maybe I just microwaved it too long? 



Week 2 recap

After finishing another week I am still happy with my choice to start TFD. I stepped on the scale today and I was up one pound!! I'm not upset because I think there are a few things going on this week that could've caused this. One thing is that I lost 6 pounds last week so my body my be just catching up. And 6 pounds in 2 weeks is still great. I will give it another week before I judge. I increased my calories so it will be interesting to see what the scale says next week. I was just too hungry on the 1200-1400 plan and it made me feel like I wouldn't be able to stick to the plan especially once I added in working out which I plan to do next week.

I bought some workout clothes that are really cute so I have no excuse not to go to the gym. My entire May wardrobe will be workout gear, lol. 

This plan has really inspired me to do more. And although I didn't lose this week my mom and husband keep telling me I'm looking smaller. I'd like to lose at least 10 pounds during my 31 days so I'm hoping next week I'll be close to or at that goal.

The Fresh Diet - Day 14

TFD day 14 was much better, I actually stuck to the plan after flying off the rails yesterday. I'm looking forward to starting my increased calories tomorrow because I have still been hungry. I really love the plan though so I'm happy they have this option. 

Strawberry Stuffed Whole Wheat French Toast with Honeydew and Cinnamon Apple Yogurt. Yummy as always. Loved these French toast choices. I dipped it in the yogurt to mimic whipped cream so that was fun. 


Tandoori Chicken Skewer with Mango Chutney. The chutney was so good. Tasted like sweet chunky jam which paired perfectly with salty flavor on the chicken. 


Thai Turkey Burger on Whole Wheat Ciabatta with Sauteed Bok-Choy & Peanut Sauce. Love the thick ciabatta bread and the peanut sauce is so good I could put it on anything. 


Fillet of Wild Mahi Mahi with Thai Ginger Chili Sauce with Nine Grain Pilaf and Steamed Asparagus. Whenever I see a sauce in the container I know I'm going to love dinner. Tonight was no different. The fish was cooked perfectly and once again went great with the sides.

The Fresh Diet - Day 13

I was a mess today! I was so hungry I ate a bunch of slices of cinnamon raisin toast with butter and I even ate my sons sugar cookies, SMH. 

Turkey Bacon and Egg Wrap. This was really filling, I can't bring myself to use salsa on eggs so I used a teaspoon of strawberry jelly. I missed having cheese with my eggs but I still found this tasty. I will have to make this myself because it kept me full until my next meal. 




Mini Whole Wheat Sweet & Sour Sloppy Joe, this was cute and tasty. Great sloppy joe flavor and nice size too. 


Whole Wheat Italian Pizza with Artichoke, Sun-Dried Tomato, Marinara Sauce & Cheddar Cheese. I didn't like this one. I'm not a fan of the ingredients but I didn't want to pass up pizza.  I had to try it but will not order again. The crust was good so I would try it with different toppings ever available.  


Walnut Crusted Chicken Apricot Rouladewith Whole Wheat Linguine Pasta and Sauteed Cabbage with Tart Cherries and Apples. I made walnut crusted chicken for my husband last week and there was a lot more walnuts, lol. There also wasn't much feeling inside of the chicken which I was disappointed about. It was good when eaten with the delicious sides though.

The Fresh Diet - Day 12

BIG NEWS!! I increased my calorie intake, I just couldn't take it anymore I'm so hungry. I have to at least try it and see if I am still able to lose weight. If I notice a stall on the scale I'll have no choice but to go back down and maybe make some healthier choices or add a healthy snack to my day.

Anyway, I called TFD and asked if I could increase the calories and without hesitation the rep told me absolutely! I'm currently getting 1200-1400 calories and it will be increased to 1600-1800 calories, yay!! I think that at my current weight I need more calories and once I lose a bit I'll see about decreasing it. I plan on adding exercise and as hungry as I am I just don't think it'll work out. So we will see how this goes, it takes 48 hours for the change to go into effect so maybe by this weekend or at the latest Monday the change will take effect.

Fig and Mint Pancakes with Turkey Bacon, can't get enough of the breakfasts on TFD, I didn't taste the mint (thankfully), and I was happy to see the pistachios. 




Greek Spanakopita with Spinach & Feta Cheese in Phyllo Dough. Same as before, delicious. 


Roasted Turkey Breast Whole Wheat Wrap with Fresh Guacamole & Spring Mix Lettuce. This was too plain for my taste. I added some whole grain mustard to it. And afterwards I ate half of my dessert, I just wanted something more. 



Pomegranate and Mint Glazed Duck Breastwith Southwestern Corn Saute and Sun-Dried Tomato Couscous. This meal was so filling, and the sides were great. I'm not a fan of duck but wanted to try it. It was ok, my sauce didn't come on the side this time and I didn't taste anything on it but it wasn't bad just not my thing.  


Pineapple Upside Down Cake with Maraschino Cherries and Pecans. The last time I had this there were many more pecans but this time just two bits. Its a nice dessert I just prefer the cheesecake over this. It wasn't offered today though so not a bad second choice.
